Websites & Local SEO for Private Practice Owners
I am a therapist
You built the practice. I handle the rest: a website with every page written and designed specifically for you until you're satisfied, plus your Google Business Profile set up and optimized, so new patients find you on Google and the map while you stay with the ones you have.

Don't see your specialty? If you own the practice, I can build for it. Send me a note and tell me what you do.
Patients choose their clinician online before they ever call.
Whatever you practice, the pattern is the same: someone nearby searches, compares a few websites, and reaches out to the one that felt trustworthy and made the next step easy. Your website either wins that moment or quietly loses it, every day.

Straight answers
Questions I get asked first.
How much does a private practice website cost?
Mine start at $499 for a complete build with the copywriting included, plus $20/month for hosting and maintenance. For comparison: DIY builders like Squarespace or Wix run about $0 to $500 a year but you write everything yourself, general agencies charge $2,000 to $10,000+, and healthcare-specialized agencies charge $3,000 to $15,000+.
How long does local SEO take to work?
Roughly 3 to 6 months for a Google Business Profile to gain traction in the map pack, and 6 to 12 months for meaningful organic rankings on a new domain. Profile interactions (calls, direction requests, website clicks) move first, well before organic rankings do.
Does my practice still need a website in 2026?
Yes. A Google Business Profile can’t explain your clinical approach, list your specialties, or answer insurance and out-of-network questions. AI search engines also cite websites rather than profiles when they recommend a provider, so a practice without a site rarely gets named.
What’s actually included in a build?
Written copy for every page, design, specialty and service pages, contact and booking paths, a privacy policy and HIPAA notice, an accessibility page, Google Business Profile setup, and launch. Online booking is optional.
Who does the work?
I do: Josh Tharp. The writing, the design, the build, and the ongoing SEO. No account manager in the middle, no outsourced production team.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Hosting and maintenance is $20/month, the optional growth add-on is $79/month, and both are month to month.

Who you'll work with
I'm a one-person studio, which means the person you talk to is the person who writes, designs, and maintains your site. No call center, no junior handed your account, no invoice for work nobody can explain.
Private practice is personal for me. I build and maintain the websites for a counseling practice, a psychiatric practice, and my own family's TMS clinic, so I'm careful with the things clinical work requires: accurate language, patient privacy, and a tone that builds trust instead of selling.
